Tom and floor tom pads are designed to produce realistic stick response, while emanating a low-volume acoustic drum sound. Accordingly, the pad surface is a dual-layer of foam rubber with a moderately soft touch response, not overly springy, and a pliable resin shell acts as an acoustic chamber.
The drums attach to the frame using time-tested TAMA mounts. The Omni ball system on the rack tom allows for rotational, fine-angle adjustment. Flexible floor tom positioning is achieved through the multi-clamp with long (30mm) boom arm. TAMA's uses their highly acclaimed Fast Clamps for quick and easy setup and teardown.
