At the heart of its elegant voice is a hybrid shell combining walnut and bubinga. Four plies of walnut are positioned from the inner shell surface to the bearing edge, producing a warm, full-bodied sweetness. Surrounding it are two plies of bubinga, adding focused attack and rich low-mid projection.
Maple Sound Focus Rings further enhance tonal definition, while the shallower 5” depth creates a clear, articulate sound with excellent projection and a strong core.
The outer ply features striking Cordia wood with dramatic grain patterns. Its flowing figure, enhanced by a beautiful gloss finish, gives the drum a refined, handcrafted presence worthy of its sound.

6mm, 6ply Walnut/Bubinga + 1 outer ply Cordia w/Maple Sound Focus Rings
A hybrid shell constructed with four inner plies of walnut and two outer plies of bubinga. Equipped with the same Maple Sound Focus Rings found on STAR Maple, it produces a focused tonal core with rich, controlled low-mid resonance.
2.3mm Sound Arc Hoops
This snare drum will be fitted with our Sound Arc Hoops, inspired by the so-called "stick saver hoops" which were used on select vintage snare drums. The edges of the Sound Arc Hoops bend inward to enhance the natural tone of the drum and offer increased sensitivity, precision, and control.
Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires
In order to provide a more crisp and sensitive sound, we redesigned our Snare Wires using new materials, customizing the shape of the plate, and changing the wire coils' winding pattern. As a result, the "Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wire" fits more closely to the snare side head, providing greater sensitivity and brighter, crisper sound.
