Hoshino USA, Inc. ("Hoshino USA" or "TAMA" or "us" or "we" or "our") owns and operates the tama.com/usa, tamamicstands.com, and tamamarching.com sites ("Sites"). Hoshino USA is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers' personal information when you visit and interact with the Site(s).     The Site(s) is meant for individuals within the United States. Hoshino USA only knowingly collects information from individuals within the United States.     Hoshino USA reserves the right to update or amend this Policy at any time. Amendments will be posted below for a period of thirty (30) days and will be effective when posted. The changes will also be immediately incorporated into this Policy.

    Hoshino USA collects certain information that is less likely to personally identify you in a number of ways, including tracking your activities through your IP address, computer settings or most-recently visited URL, by using data-tracking software which tells us what parts of the Site(s) you have browsed. We may use this information to tell you about products or services which we feel may be of interest to you, and we may also share this information with other parties from whom we believe you may want to receive information. Any information about you, whether obtained through collection or tracking, may be used to contact you again either by online electronic communication (such as e-mail), or by regular mail or telephone.

    We will also be collecting and tracking information about activities on our Site(s) on an aggregate (i.e., group) basis, where we will not know or keep track of precisely who you are, so that we may keep track of what users may be interested in, to help us in our marketing efforts.

  • Sharing of PII and Other Information

    Except as noted herein, Hoshino USA does not sell or share your PII with any person or entity outside of Hoshino USA.

    Hoshino USA may share certain portions of PII and other information with its vendors in order to make the Site(s) and Site-related services function properly. This may include sharing PII with:

    • Stripe, our credit card processing entity, in order to process any credit/debit card payments made through the Site(s);
    • our shipping providers to send you products that you order through the Site(s); and/or
    • our email vendors to send you newsletters to which you have subscribed.

    Hoshino USA will disclose your PII or other information if it reasonably believes it is required to do so by law or in cooperation with a governmental or law enforcement investigation. Hoshino USA may also share PII or other information in order to avoid imminent physical harm to any person or harm to any Hoshino USA property.

    Hoshino USA may share your PII with a third party if Hoshino USA's ownership status changes, such as if Hoshino USA is acquired or if Hoshino USA acquires another entity.

    Other than what is referenced above, the PII and other data collected from you is not shared with nor sold to any person or entity outside of Hoshino USA.

  • Review of Collected PII/Other Choices

    In connection with Hoshino USA's collection and use of your PII, you have the rights:

    • to request details on the specific pieces of PII Hoshino USA has collected about you;
    • to opt-out of any sale of your PII;
    • to request that Hoshino USA delete PII it has collected about you; and
    • to not be discriminated against, in terms of the services and prices offered on or through the Site(s), because you exercised these rights regarding the collection and use of your PII.

    If you would like to review, edit, or delete any of the PII that Hoshino USA collected from you, or if you would like to exercise these rights in any other way, please contact Hoshino USA at customerservice@hoshinousa.com. Please note that Hoshino USA will do its best to accommodate your request, but Hoshino USA cannot guarantee it can remove all PII from the specified uses. Therefore, please be as specific as possible in your request. If the request relates to information that Hoshino USA needs to make the Site(s) function properly for you, you may not be able to use the Site(s) properly moving forward.

    Hoshino USA reserves the right to maintain proper business records as required by law, or for otherwise legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law, even if such records contain your PII.

    If you would like to opt-out of receiving promotional emails from Hoshino USA, please follow the opt-out instructions at the bottom of the email or send Hoshino USA a detailed email at customerservice@hoshinousa.com.

    Hoshino USA does not knowingly collect any information from minors, nor is the Site(s) directed at or intended for minors. If a minor uploads/posts information to the Site(s) that is publicly available, and the minor subsequently wants that same information deleted, the minor has a right to request that such information be removed from public viewing. Minors who wish to request the removal of their information should submit their request to customerservice@hoshinousa.com. Any removal of content by Hoshino USA does not ensure or guarantee complete or comprehensive removal of the content in all places. The content may have been shared or reposted by other parties, or federal or state law may require maintenance of the content or information.

  • Response to "Do Not Track" Requests/Signals

    Hoshino USA does not recognize or process "do not track" or similar technical requests.

    Third parties that may directly collect information through the Site(s) could respond differently than Hoshino USA to "do not track" requests, so you should consult the applicable privacy policies of those third parties for that information.

  • Data Security and Retention

    The Site(s) uses, implements and maintains industry standard technological security measures that are reasonably designed to help secure your non-public PII from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration and/or disclosure, both in storage and in transmission. Hoshino USA protects PII by utilizing both online and offline security methods including, but not limited to, the use of SSL encryption, firewalls, passwords and restricted physical access to the places where your non-public PII is stored. Our staff is trained to comply with our security procedures, and our security procedures are regularly reviewed and revised, if necessary.

    While Hoshino USA takes the issue of protecting your PII seriously, you should exercise discretion in what information you disclose and/or transmit on or through the Site(s). There is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet. Hoshino USA cannot guarantee that information sent over the Internet is fully secure. as the transmitted information may be intercepted by others before it reaches Hoshino USA. If you are concerned about sending information to Hoshino USA over the Internet, please send the information by mail or call us to make other arrangements. Hoshino USA is not responsible for the security of information sent over the Internet.

    Hoshino USA retains collected information for a reasonable amount of time in order to fulfill the stated purpose for why the information was collected. Hoshino USA will also retain collected information connected to business records for periods of time required by law. If Hoshino USA determines that collected information is no longer needed, it will delete such information. Our collection times will be consistent with applicable law. Hoshino USA will maintain a membership list that includes some PII.

  • Children's Privacy

    The Site(s) is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older located in the United States.

    The Site(s) is not directed at, marketed to, nor intended for, children under 13 years of age. Hoshino USA does not knowingly collect any information, including PII, from children under 13 years of age. If Hoshino USA learns that any information was provided through the Site(s) by a person younger than 13 years of age, Hoshino USA will delete the information immediately.

    Hoshino USA will not use a minor's PII to market or advertise certain products or services deemed harmful to children. Hoshino USA also will not disclose any minor's PII if it has actual knowledge that the minor's PII will be used for the purpose of marketing or advertising harmful products or services.
