Sotiris Mavronasios

Sotiris Mavronasios is a drummer based in Athens Greece who is born in 05/02/1994. He started playing drums at the age of 13 and took a lot of lessons from many drummers in Greece and attended a lot of masterclasses.

Some of his teachers are Michael Kapilidis, Nikos Sidirokastritis, Kalistratos Drakopoulos, Dimitris Klonis and more. He attended seminars from Mark Guiliana, Jojo Mayer, Tony Royster, Gergo Borlai, George Kolias and more.

In 2018 he graduated from Lab Music Education Professional Program.

He has also attended Ableton courses from Greek Drummer and Producer Giannis Aggelopoulos (Jan Van) and Sound Engineering courses from Dimmitris Dimitriadis.

He is a pop/rock drummer who loves to combine drums with electronics and loops. He always uses Drum Pads like Roland Spd-Sx Pro and Nord Drum 3p. Also he uses Ableton Live for lot of his performances' recordings and drum programming.

Sotiris is a session and studio drummer and he played drums for a lot of Greek Artists.

These days he plays drums for Matoula Zamani, Natassa Bofiliou, Leon of Athens and Katerina Duska, Biased Beast. He is also band member in "Rizes".

In the past he has colaborated with other artist like Marieta Fafouti, Wedding Singers, Eisvoleas, Mithridatis, Kid Jung, Good Job Nicky, Maria Papageorgiou, Thodoris Kotonias, Saveria Margiola, Kyrios K and others.

He has recorded and programed drums for a lot of artists too. Some of them are Matoula Zamani, Panos Mouzourakis, Maria Papageorgiou, Kyrios K, Christos Ninios and more. He is also the main drummer for Nipio studio in Athens and he records most of the projects there.

He had over 60 live performances in Greece, Cyprus, UK, Germany and Spain with the artists he works with. All of those performances were in big theatres and clubs like Melina Mercouri Theatre in Athens, Gis Theatre in Salonika, Stavros Tou Notou in Athens, Eightball in Salonika, Colours Hoxton in London, Knust in Hamburh and big festivals like Primavera Sound in Barchelona, Stegi Block Pary Fest (Stegi Onasis) in Athens, Pozar Festival and Arvanitsa Festival in Greece and more. The artists he works with are in the most cases headliners.

He also has already booked a lot of live performances for 2023 with the same artists.
