Filipe Caeiro a.k.a Xinês

Filipe, also known as Xinês, is a Portuguese musician born in Évora, with a drumming career spanning 24 years, making him a prominent figure in the national music scene. Known for his versatility across different musical styles, he began learning drums at the age of 9, taught by his father, and later pursued formal education in Jazz drumming at the University of Évora.

From 2007 to 2013, he was the drummer for the nationally acclaimed band Switchtense, recording two albums, an EP, and a live DVD. During that time, he toured extensively across Europe, sharing the stage with renowned bands such as Sepultura, Lamb of God, Slayer, Death Angel, Hatebreed, and many others.

Filipe is a founding member of the instrumental post-metal band Awaiting The Vultures, with whom he has recorded two acclaimed albums. "Awaiting The Vultures" and "Circle". He also plays drums for various bands such as Black Hill Cove, Subversive, Damien's Trail of Blood, Alentexas, Ao Lado, and O Rijo. Recently, he embarked on his solo project, Xinês.

As an independent musician, Filipe has collaborated with artists like RAIA, João Só, Daniel Catarino, Átoa, and Manuel Guerra. He has also worked on drum recordings for renowned Portuguese artists, television programs, and numerous national and international albums.

He currently operates his studio in Évora, where he provides recording, remote recording, production, mixing, and mastering services for clients worldwide.
