Chow-Kiat Er

Er Chow-Kiat (b. 1989) is a Singaporean drummer, educator, and entrepreneur recognized for his contributions to contemporary drumming and music education. In 2016, he founded Drum Tutor, a modern drumming school that has since grown to 5 outlets across Singapore and teaches over 1,000 students.
A highly sought-after performer, Chow-Kiat has toured internationally with artists such as Angela Chang and Mateus Asato, appearing at major festivals including Fuji & Sun Festival, Taipei Jazz Festival, and Java Jazz Festival.
Equally dedicated to education, Chow-Kiat is known for pioneering an innovative, beginner-friendly teaching method that replaces traditional notation with visual systems, making drumming more accessible to learners of all ages.
He is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts and the Musicians Institute (USA), where he received the Outstanding Student Award, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music Leadership at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore.
Chow-Kiat is also the recipient of the prestigious SkillsFuture Fellowship, Singapore's highest accolade for skills mastery and lifelong learning.
