BIOGRAPHY

Born on November 4, 1977, Edy started the heavy metal band Seringai in 2002 with longtime friends Arian13 and Ricky Siahaan. Throughout their career, Seringai has released four albums, won an AMI Award, and gained more than 300,000 followers on social media.
As one of the main players in Indonesia's heavy music scene, Seringai are influenced by the darkness of Black Sabbath, the velocity of Motörhead, and the hardcore punk recklessness of Black Flag. They combine these essential ingredients to form what they call High Octane Rock—music that guarantees mosh pit fun with lyrics that intelligently tackle socio-political issues, while also celebrating the simple pleasures of getting wasted, whether in front of 20,000 people or at intimate gigs.
One of the highlights of their career came in 2013, when Seringai was invited as the only Indonesian band to open for Metallica's concert in Jakarta.
Not only a drummer, Edy is also known as a creative director. He has been working in audiovisual production since 2002, creating music videos and commercials, and most recently directing his first feature film, scheduled for release in the summer of 2026. He is also a show director for many musicians and music festivals, ranging from stadium concerts such as Raisa at GBK in 2023 to managing major music festivals like Synchronize Fest, among many others.
After a year-long hiatus following the tragic passing of their guitarist Ricky Siahaan in 2025, Seringai are now back and ready to rumble again with their latest album, "IV: Anastasis," set for release in 2026.
